Monsignor Doyle Halloween Haunt

Dear MDCSS Feeder Schools,

The Halloween season is upon us! Each year, Monsignor Doyle hosts  Halloween haunt– a special tradition in our community. This year, it will take place Tomorrow, October 27th from 7-9pm at Monsignor Doyle: 185 Myers Road.

Students from MDCSS feeder schools and the broader community are invited to visit two spooky haunted houses and get their face painted in this student-run event.

The price of entry is $5  either through cash or Cashonline QR code at the door.

Feel free to let students know through announcements or via newsletter about the event.

The Doyle community has been working very hard to prepare for it and they are beyond excited to keep this terrifying tradition alive.

October 16th – 20th

Dear Families

A friendly reminder that we do not have supervision on the Upper Field/Park before school. As such, students should not be going to the Upper Field/Park before the bell, rather they are to come onto the school property.  As the Upper Field is a city park, the public will be walking their dogs or using the park before school.  Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring your children come directly onto school property in the morning.

Our DFS Canada fundraiser was launched last week. If you did not receive information, please let the office know and we will send it home with your child.

This week we will celebrate ECE Appreciation Day on Tuesday October 17th and Canadian Library Workers Day on Friday October 20th.

Take care.

A Thanksgiving Prayer for Children

Father, we thank Thee for the night,
And for the pleasant morning light;
For rest and food and loving care,
And all that make the day so fair.
Help us to do the things we should,
To be to others kind and good;
In all we do, all we say,
To grow more loving every day.

Amen
