MONDAY, November 27th: Angel Tree Kick Off.

Once again, we are running an Angel Tree Campaign for the next two weeks. We are adopting 9 local families for Christmas this year.  As well as our own, we are supporting the Parenting Alone Community and Kinbridge. Each Classroom has been assigned a person. More information on those gifts will come from your child’s classroom teacher.  We are also collecting grocery store gift cards which we will divide up among the families.  All gift cards will be collected in the main office.  WEDNESDAY, November 29th – Spirit Wear Day! Paint Lunch in the Library. Boys Volleyball development Tournament

 THURSDAY, November 30th – Hat n’ Stache Day Theme Day

Thank you for coming to our conferences this evening!

As Dole Whip was cancelled on Monday due to provider issues, it has been rescheduled for tomorrow Friday November 23rd! Please bring your spoons!

Also tomorrow is Pink Shirt Day.

Lastly, half of our Dieleman Fundraiser came in today and can be picked up at the conference. We are expecting the other half of the order to be shipped next week.

Dear Families

We are excited to invite all students and staff of Holy Spirit School to a wonderful
Christmas Turkey lunch in the gymnasium on Monday, December 18th, 2023.
Our delicious Christmas meal will include turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy,
corn, veggies, buns, and a cookie! We are asking students to be green by bringing
their own plate, utensils, and drink/water bottle.

MONDAY, November 20th – Progress Reports will be sent home today. Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences will be later this week. The portal to sign up for a conference, will close on Wednesday afternoon. If you are experiencing difficulty signing up, please contact the main office.

TUESDAY, November 21st – Random Acts of Kindness Day. Our Student Leadership Team has planned many fun days for this week. We look forward to celebrating friendship this week.

WEDNESDAY, November 22nd – Spirit Wear Day! Paint Lunch in the Library, Boys Volleyball Championships

THURSDAY, November 23rd – M&Ms Day wear your favourite colour of M&M today: brown, blue, green, yellow, red, orange!  Junior Division French Concert.   Student Led Conferences after school.

Last Chance for our Fundraiser! We are only a few hundred dollars away from our goal of $8000 in retail sales. If we reach it – the students will earn an extended recess.  We thank you for your generosity!

News from St. Ambrose

Children’s Liturgy at 11am Mass our Children’s Liturgy program is offered at 11:00am Mass.  At the beginning of Mass children will be invited to come forward to follow the leader downstairs to our Children’s Liturgy room. At the offertory, the children will return upstairs and sit as a group in the front pews for the remainder of Mass. (no registration required)

Is your child interested in becoming an altar server?  Our parish is in need of more altar servers.  It is an honour to serve at our Lord’s table during Holy Mass.  Parents, please speak to your child about becoming an altar server.  Grade 4 and older.  Training provided.

Elementary Youth Group for Students in Grades 6-8 are invited to our weekly Elementary Youth Group every Thursdays at 6:30pm in the church hall.  To register your son/daughter to attend or would like to know more, please email Sarah Kwiecinski, the Coordinator of Youth Ministry at youth@stambrosecambridge.ca

High School Youth Group will continue to meet at St. Ambrose Church Hall on these dates:  (changed) MONDAYS – November 6 and 20, 2023;  December 4 and 18th, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.  To join us, please register your son/daughter or if you would like to know more, please email Sarah Kwiecinski, the Coordinator of Youth Ministry,at youth@stambrosecambridge.ca
