Dear Families

We wish all of you a very blessed and happy Easter Weekend. A friendly reminder that school/office is closed for the 4 day weekend and will reopen on Tuesday April 2nd.

There have been various reports given to the office about suspicious activity in our neighbourhood.  We will spend some time in our classes talking about “stranger danger” and ways that we can be safe. We ask your support in reminding your child(ren) to be safe, walk with a buddy and report any suspicious activity.

Monday April 1st: Easter Monday – no school

Tuesday April 2nd: Mad Science (last day)

Wednesday April 3rd: Caribou Math Contest begins, Spirit Wear Day, Folk Dance Practice at lunch

Thursday April 4th: Wear Pastels Day (Easter Egg), Chess Club at lunch, April Assembly, First Confessions at St. Ambrose

Friday April 5th: Easter Celebration Day – Wear Easter Hat, Bunny Ears etc. Folk Dance Practice at lunch

Hello Families

Monday: Prayer Service to commence Holy Week. Grade 6 Boys Development Basketball in the p.m.

Tuesday: Mad Science, Dental Screening (Grade 2, Sk & JK), School Wide Christian Meditation.

Wednesday: Folk Dance Practice and School Wide Christian Meditation.

Thursday: Lenten Fill A Van Food Drive ends, Chess Club and Stations of the Cross.

Friday: School will be closed for Good Friday.

Dear Families

Welcome Back! We hope you all had a wonderful march break. Here are a few items for you to be aware of:

1. Booster Juice: to helps offset the cost of Grade 8 Graduation, the students have been selling Dole Whip all year.  We are transitioning to Booster Juice for April, May & June. For more information please see school cash online. Our April orders will close on March 28th.
2. Lenten Tenets – Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving: We have been focusing on prayer with weekly Lenten Prayer Services. The students all went to confession before the break. Next week will spend time with our last Monday Lenten Prayer Service and the Stations of the Cross led by our Grade 8s. We have been fasting by promoting acts of kindness with two methods of recognizing the acts of kindness – ask your child about these! Lasting, we are promoting a food drive where we wish to fill a van with food and deliver to to St. Vincent de Paul next week. We are collecting non perishable food items: canned meat or fish, canned fruit, peanut butter, jam, cereal, pasta, baby food. We are also collecting personal hygiene items.  The Fill a Van Food Drive runs from March 19th through to March 27th. We thank you for your support as we wrap up our Lenten journey this year.
3. Rock Your Socks Day: is this Thursday. This is a world wide day for Down Syndrome Awareness and we will be participating by wear our brightest, most colourful, patterned socks this day.
