April Snow Days Bring May Flowers????…
Well Holy Spirit Families, snow bringing flowers is not entirely true. But the flowers did come with the help of our AMAZING Eco-Team! Each class cared for a plant in celebration of Earth Week and our ELKP students began bringing life to their gardens. We also had students taking initiative to pick up trash, listening to ways to save energy and renewing our commitment to being stewards of our world. Holy Spirit is up for another Gold Certification and will be meeting with the board Eco-leads next week. We are grateful to Mrs. Brown, Ms. Tremblay and Mrs. Livingston for their leadership on the Eco-Team. Aside from beautiful flowers, our school made beautiful music this week as the choir participated in an event at the Crown Plaza in Kitchener. There are some pictures below of the choir at dinner just before the event. Well done Flames! A special thank you to Mrs. Downs and Mrs. Mascarenhas for leading the choir.
Updated Safe Drop Off and Pick Up Protocols Come into Effect Tomorrow (April 30th)
As mentioned in previous Newswire Communications, information regarding our Safe Drop-Off and Pick-Up routines was being sent home this month. Please take a moment to review the information and reach out if you have any questions about the new process. If you did not receive this information, an electronic copy is available from the link below. We really value our parent community and are grateful to our staff and parent council partners for working hard to implement the necessary protocols that apply to all schools in our district.
Fire Drills Happening This Week
We had a successful Lock-Down and Tornado Drill this week and all of our students followed instructions perfectly. In the event of a real emergency, we are confident our staff and students would follow all procedures effectively. Well done Flames! As the nicer weather is upon us, we would like to take advantage of the timing to complete 3 more fire drills this week so our students will be ready in the event of an emergency. Our students participated in the 3 fire drills in the Fall, so the procedure will be familiar to them. Our staff will also review expectations with their students in the coming week.
MYSP Survey. Everyone is invited to participate!
MYSP stands for Multi-Year Strategic Plan. The board is seeking feedback from all stakeholders, and as parents in our community your voice is so very important. Please take some time to add your thoughts as the strategic priorities of the board are determined over the coming weeks and months. The survey can be accessed by clicking on the link below.
